All cards on the table: I really wanted to draw a fantasy design.

Lo and behold that opportunity came running when I met one of the best friends I've ever had, in one of the most unlikely of places.

After having to come back from Japan, broke and nowhere to go but the backwoods of Colorado, I needed to get a job, any kind of job, to get back on my feet.

While it wasn't long-term I wound up working at a gas-station for a couple of months.

That was where I met Vieve.

She'd usually pop in and grab an energy drink and the odd edible thing or two, and over the course of a few interactions we started getting along. 

It usually developed into her talking about her interests and pastimes, and me going on about all this newly acquired knowledge about mixology and alcohol.

As we got to know each other better I had come to find in her one of the best friendships I've had in a long time. 

What once felt like a curse by being sent to what felt like a middle of nowhere town, soon started sprouting many a day of wild adventures, pointless and all the same powerful conversations, and a newfound definition of what love, compassion, and sincere companionship really are.
